Singapore #015 - Baker & Cook

Baker & Cook is a nice place to chill out especially on a chilly rainy Monday afternoon.

I ordered a regular latte ($5) and chocolate eclair ($4.40) while waiting for my sis to join me after her exams. I really love the eclair. The proportional of the cream and pastry is just right and pastry is very soft.

I really like the new lens style camera. Very light and convenient and image quality is better than my iPhone.

After waiting for 30 mins, my sis finally came with her friend and we started to indulge with good food

Egg Benedict with bacon ($17)

Pancake Stack ($17)

Simply Scrambled Eggs with Salmon ($18)

URA no longer permits outdoor seating and therefore the seats are limited. Do drop by early or you might have to pack and go.

Korea #008 - 팔가막창 (Palja Makchang)

Often I travel to Korea alone because of business trip and I do not have the chance to get to visit Haha's shop. Finally, I got the chance last month when I met up with my Korean ex-colleague. Thanks to her, we managed to find the shop. It was quite a walk away from Hongdae subway station.

The waiters no longer wear the Running Man tee! So sad :(

Since this shop specializes in intestine, we order an original pork intestine and a marinated spicy intestine

We also ordered the lunchbox. It's very simple dish. Rice with ikan bilis, fried egg, sausages, yellow radish and kimchi

P.S. Be careful when you are there as the floor is quite slippery

Singapore #014 - Antoinette (Penhas Road)

It has been more than half a year the girls and i had a meet up... We chose Antoinette at Penhas Road to reunite and catch up with one another on each other's life updates

Everything at the counter looks so yummy... It was quite tough to choose from...

After much discussion with the girls, here's what we ordered

Antoinette Breakfast - It comes with a plate of breads and a beverage (choice of orange juice, coffee or hot chocolate)

Seafood Alio Olio - Fresh seafood and not too oily. Recommended!

Nordic Crepe - Filled with smoked salmon and lots of veggie. Healthy choice!

Morel Mushroom Pasta - Thickness of the cream was just right, not too rich but still very tasty.

Savory Blinis with grilled sausage, French butter, grilled tomato & salad

There's always a dessert stomach when the primary stomach is full.

Nothing much to comment on the desserts. All of them tasted so delicious that you just can't stop even when you are already full.

Strawberry Shortcake ($9)

Chloe ($9)

Opera Classique ($9.50)

Singapore #013 - The Exchange

Karen found a gem in the business district area and only the royal ladies went to check the place out! At The Exchange Bar, all ladies are entitled free flow of martinis (choice of Lychee, Apple, Cosmopolitan) on every Wednesday/ladies night from 6 - 9pm! That's so cool right?

First, you need to go get your martini glass. They will give you a stamp on your hand. The collection area is just right in front of the bar. Note you are only given just one glass for the night so don't misplace it. Afterwhich, just go to the bar and tell the bartender what martini will you like to get.

We ordered some food to go along with the martinis.

Truffle Fries

Duck Confit - Highly Recommended!

Mini Burgers

This place is really crowded and you will probably have to call them 2 days in advance to make reservations. Be punctual as they will release the tables after 15 mins if you fail to turn up.

Singapore #012 - Au Chocolat Bistro

We had the 'Back to school' theme to celebrate the Libras' birthdays in the Royal gang.
Karen got a good deal to book a night stay at MBS with her mum's membership.
After looking through the list of dining places in MBS, we found Au Chocolat Bistro that can fit into our theme. If you have a big group like us (we have total 9 ppl!), call them to make your reservation first. Otherwise, you might have to queue during the dinner timing.

I like this toy train that is moving around... and also the nice pictorial on the ceiling. <3

This bulldog is the iconic symbol of Au Chocolat. They even sell its plush toy here.

We were so hungry (after all the photo shots at the pool) that we ordered a lot of food.

Spicy Chicken Wings ($16) - Fried Chicken Wings with spicy buffalo sauce

Battered Calamari Rings ($14) - Served with green tartar sauce

Aglio Olio Vongole ($24) - This is one of their recommendable dish and it's also my favorite among the rest!

Three-cheese Macaroni ($24) - This is really rich, recommend for sharing only.
P.S. double check your order with the waiter. we ordered 1plate of three-cheese macaroni and they came serving us with 3 plates. they misheard 3-cheese with 3 plates. in the end they gave us the other 2 plates as complimentary but we couldn't finish them

Au Chocolat Mega Club ($25) - This was quite disappointing since supposedly to be their recommended dish. The chicken tender was not cripsy and hard

Au Chocolat Chef's Salad ($20) - I like the toasted walnuts that went well with the other ingredients like roast chicken, ham, etc. Its secret dressing sauce is also nice and refreshing.

Parma Ham Crepe ($18) - We just couldn't skip ordering the crepe since crepe is everyone's favorite!

Duck Confit ($27) - The meat is very tender and the orange sauce is superb

"Dessert is probably the most important stage of the meal"

We went over to Au Chocolat Confiserie to get the desserts.

Chocolate Orange Macaron ($7)

Pistachio Cake

Red Velvet Cake
