Singapore #001 - Chock Full Of Beans

The royal folks went on a staycation at Changi Village Hotel and decided to pop by Chock Full of Beans for brunch after checking in. We nearly fainted thinking it's quite a distance away from the hotel (the map indicates about 10mins walk?) but NooooOOOoooo.... it's just a stone's throw away!

Despite being at a corner of the row of shophouses, you can identify it easily as it stands out from the rest of the traditional shops.

Before we ordered our drinks, we started asking what's available for the latte art.... and design...
Sad to say... you can only request for designs on weekdays when the cafe is not busy...

the barrister behind all the amazing artworks!

The drinks are available in 2 sizes: regular and large... just a dollar difference so I find it's more worth it to get the large ones especially if you are going have a long chit chatting session with your friends!

Tada~~~ We ordered 2 hazelnut latte, 1 rose latte and 1 caramel latte

Ham & Cheese Sandwich ($12): Personally this is my favorite. It may be simple but not everyone can make such simple food yummilicious!

Ultimate Swiss Rosti ($18): The saute mushroom on top of the rosti is good!
Chock Full of Big Breakfast ($17): The chicken chipolatas are most popular among the rest for the royal folks.

Just one visit to Chock Full of Beans is not enough and I don't think we will come again in the next few months since it's really out of the way to get here...
Therefore.... We went again the next day for brunch after checking out!

It was fully packed when we get there... and we waited for 30 mins to get a table. The nice part was the staff took down our number and we could go walk around instead of standing there waiting.

Another round of coffee to perk us up... since most of us only had 3-4hrs of sleep...

We love the Ham & Cheese Sandwich so much that we ordered it again!

Good Morning New York ($18): The plain bagel was so delicious even without the eggs!

Brûlée French Toast with Caramelized Banana ($9): This is definitely a must try for a sweet tooth! Will recommend you to share this with at least one more friend as I find it too much for just one person.

Strawberry Shortcake ($6.50): The presentation was so cute! the bear thinking of the cake. The cake texture is soft and smooth, it's not dry too so you will tend to eat one mouth after the other.
